At the World Para-Badminton Championships on Sunday, Indian para-badminton player Pramod Bhagat produced a stunning comeback to win a gold medal.

Pramod Bhagat, an Indian para-badminton player, pulled off a spectacular comeback on Sunday to win the gold medal at the World Para-Badminton Championships. In an endurance match that lasted an hour and forty minutes, Pramod defeated Daniel Bethell of the United Kingdom 14-21, 21-15, 21-14 (2:1) to win the medal in the MS SL3 category final. The star shuttler won a close three-set encounter against Manoj Sarkar of India in the semifinals. The 75-minute encounter saw Pramod overcome Manoj in the end, with the first set going to the wire.

Manoj took the second set, which was identical to the first except that there was nothing to distinguish them. Nothing set the two athletes apart in the decisive final match, and in the end, Pramod was able to edge Manoj and guarantee his place in the championship match. 23-21, 20-22, and 21-18 was the final score.

Suhas Yathiraj and Krishna Nagar won gold medals in their individual matches earlier in the day. Suhas defeated Fredy Setiawan of Indonesia in straight games to win the gold medal in the Side Lower (SL) 4 final, and Krishna defeated Lin Naili in a nail-biting match in the SH6 final, winning 22–20, 22–20.

Manisha Ramadass, however, lost to Yang Qiu Xia of China 16-21, 16-21 in the Side Upper (SU) 5 championship final on Sunday.
