The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) intends to begin the historic competition at the DY Patil Stadium, with the CCI serving as the alternate venue for the newly announced tournament.
According to the preliminary schedule that has been circulated, the second match of the upcoming tournament will be a doubleheader between Team Bengaluru and Team Delhi at CCI on March 5.The first game of the tournament has far-reaching implications, as it represents Mukesh Ambani’s Mumbai against Gautam Adani’s Ahmedabad.
The Indian billionaires, each of whom owns a franchise in the ongoing ILT20 tournament, will see their teams compete for bragging rights in the WPL’s opener.
