Suryakumar Yadav is the highest-ranked Indian, sitting second, while youthful opener Yashasvi Jaiswal is sixth in the ICC T20I batting rankings, which were released on Wednesday. Ruturaj Gaikwad has slid to ninth place in the T20 hitters’ rankings, which were updated following India’s recent 4-1 series victory over Zimbabwe. Jaiswal was the big winner after scoring 141 runs in the series, moving up four positions behind Australia’s No.1 batter Travis Head and Suryakumar.

Shubman Gill, who led India against Zimbabwe in the absence of senior players and scored the most runs in the series (170 from five innings), moved up 36 places to 37th.

There are no Indians among the top ten T20I bowlers. Axar Patel, who was rested for the Zimbabwe series, fell four positions to 13th.

Mukesh Kumar, a fast bowler, and Washington Sundar, a spinner, both moved up.

Mukesh, who took eight wickets in three games, has moved up 36 places to 46th place. Washington, who took eight wickets in five outings, has climbed 21 places to 73rd.

Adil Rashid of England leads the T20I bowlers’ table, followed by Anrich Nortje of South Africa and Sri Lankan Wanindu Hasaranga.

Hardik Pandya of India fell four places to sixth in the T20I all-rounders rankings, while Axar fell one to 13th.

Washington (41st) and Shivam Dube (43rd) have gained eight and 35 positions to 41st and 43rd, respectively.

Sri Lanka’s Hasaranga remains the best all-rounder, ahead of Australia’s Marcus Stoinis and Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza.
