On Sunday, during India’s second T20I against Australia, opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was at his best.

Yashasvi Jaiswal was at his best during India’s second T20I against Australia on Sunday at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram. The southpaw ran through the Australian bowlers for 53 runs in 25 balls, giving India a great start after Australia requested them to bat first. Jaiswal was caught off the fifth ball of the sixth over. The scorching knock enabled the southpaw score the highest runs by an Indian hitter in a T20I powerplay.

On Sunday, Jaiswal and Ishan Kishan led India’s batting assault to a 44-run victory over Australia in the second T20I.

In addition to Jaiswal, his fellow left-hander Kishan smashed 52 off 32 deliveries to help India reach 235 for 4 after being called to bat first in Thiruvananthapuram.

Spinner Ravi Bishnoi and quick bowler Prasidh Krishna each grabbed three wickets as the hosts held Australia to 191-9 and extended their series lead to 2-0.

Batsmen dominated as Jaiswal laid the groundwork for India’s massive score, with vital contributions from fellow opener Ruturaj Gaikwad (58) and Rinku Singh’s unbeaten nine-ball 31.

“The boys aren’t putting a lot of pressure on me.” “They’re taking the responsibility,” India captain Suryakumar Yadav said after winning his second match as national captain.

“I advised them (players) beforehand that they should be prepared to bat first. There was a lot of dew on the ground. We discussed defending it afterward.”

“It was really special for me,” Jaiswal remarked after being chosen man of the match. I was attempting to play all of my shots. I was attempting to be fearless. “I was confident in my choices.”

The third T20 will be played on Tuesday in Guwahati.
