Zaka Ashraf, chairman of the PCB management committee, praised India on Friday for their warm welcome to the Pakistan cricket team as they landed in Hyderabad for the next ODI World Cup.
The Babar Azam-led Pakistan team arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Wednesday to a standing ovation and chants. It is the first time in seven years that the Men in Green have visited India to play competitive cricket since the 2016 T20 World Cup.
Ashraf was reported in a Pakistan Cricket release as saying, “The fantastic reception of the Pakistan men’s cricket team in India for the World Cup demonstrates how much love the people of both countries have for each other’s players.”

They begin their championship campaign against the Netherlands before taking on Sri Lanka on October 10.
