Boxing Day is always observed on December 26, and this year, two Test matches will begin on that day. The second Test is being played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground between Australia, the ‘Boxing Day Test”s customary hosts, and South Africa, while the other Test is being played between Tim Southee’s New Zealand and Babar Azam’s Pakistan.

On Monday, the first test between Pakistan and New Zealand will begin at the National Stadium in Karachi (December 26). Pakistan will attempt to recover from a humbling 3-0 loss in the Test series against England, and the Black Caps also have a new captain in Southee, who replaces Kane Williamson.
