The Indian women cricket team achieved a great victory in the first match of the tri series by defeating the West Indies with 56 runs. India scored a total of 167 runs in the game whereas West Indies scored 111 runs.
India won the very first match of the tri series. The two cricketers remained victorious namely Smriti Mandhana who scored 74 runs and Harmanpreet Kaur who scored 56 runs. Hayley Matthews who scored 37 runs and Shemaine Campbelle who scored 47 runs were the top scorers from the Caribbean side.
The match was held in Buffalo park in East London. Smriti Mandhana was the player of the match by scoring 74 runs in 51 balls.
