For the current India ‘A’ vs. New Zealand ‘A’ three-match four-day series in Bangalore, Shardul Thakur, a seam bowling all-rounder who was originally chosen for the West Zone squad for the next Duleep Trophy, has taken the position of injured India bowler Prasidh Krishna.

The 26-year-old Krishna missed the first four-day Test that began on Thursday due to back spasms (September 1). Chetan Sakaria, a 24-year-old left-arm seamer from Saurashtra who participated in one ODI and two T20 Internationals for India during their tour of Sri Lanka in July of last year, has taken Thakur’s spot in the West Zone team.

Despite the fact that the first India ‘A’ vs. New Zealand ‘A’ match is presently in progress, Thakur will probably be available for the following encounter in Hubballi starting on September 8.

Tushar Arothe, the former head coach of the India women’s team, will oversee the West Zone. Beginning on Thursday, September 8, in Chennai, West Zone will meet North East Zone in the Duleep Trophy quarterfinals.
