In the ongoing 2022 Asia Cup in the UAE, Virat Kohli finally got back to being himself by scoring back-to-back fifties. At Sunday’s Super 4 match between India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium, he scored 60 runs off of 44 balls (September 4). With 154 runs in three games, he is second in the tournament’s list of top run scorers.

The 33-year-old batter added that although many people publicly backed him, no one reached out to him to express their support. Numerous rumors suggested that he and the Board of Control for Cricket in India were at odds (BCCI). After the Indian Premier League 2022 season ended, the player missed a lot of games, which fueled more rumors about his interactions with the board and management.

“I only heard from one person after I stepped down as Test captain, and we had previously played together. Any other person did not message me; that person is MS Dhoni. Many people have my phone number, and many others offer me advice on TV, “After the India-Pakistan game on Sunday, Kohli made a revelation.

However, according to recent sources, a BCCI official claimed that Kohli has the support of the entire board at all times. In addition, he said the BCCI had recently given him breaks and rests, so he didn’t understand the player’s complaints.

“Virat has received everyone’s support. from the BCCI staff to his teammates. It is untrue to imply that he did not receive assistance. He was given permission to take a break and relax often. When he resigned as Test captain, even everyone at the BCCI sent him social media congratulations. I thus don’t understand what he is saying, a senior BCCI official said.
