On their trip to the West Indies, the Indian cricket team will play two Twenty20 Internationals in Florida

On their West Indies tour, Team India will play two T20 internationals in Florida. Previously, the BCCI decided to add two extra matches to their calendar for their first complete trip since the IPL 2023. The series will begin in July and conclude on August 13 following back-to-back T20 matches. The matches will take place following the first MLC T20 in the United States.

After a brief home series against Afghanistan, the Indian cricket team will go on a trip of the West Indies in July. During a month-long visit, Team India will play two tests, three ODIs, and five T20s against the West Indies. The series is expected to begin with tests on July 12, followed by ODIs and T20Is.

According to a Cricbuzz repost, the initial plan called for two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20s, but it will now be a 10-match trip with the inclusion of two extra T20s. These two extra Twenty20 matches will be held in Florida at Central Broward Park and Broward County Stadium. The matches will take place on August 12 and 13, respectively.

This series is a part of the ICC’s new future tour programme. And these two test matches will be part of the ICC World Test Championship 2023–25. The ODI series will help in the preparation for the ODI World Cup, which is going to take place later this year, and the T20 will give team India a chance to assess the future and the conditions as West Indies and the USA are going to host the 2024 T20 World Cup.
